Miami!by tolovemoonComment: Sorry, but this isn't the strongest effort of the competition. The highlights on the ball, truck, and rug/towel are overblown. The composition lacks interest, with just too many places to put my eye, and a vacuum would help overall. |

Old School Decisionsby Melly8522Comment: Focus and lighting improvements could help this shot. The shadows are too prominent, and the balls are somewhat out of focus. |

Track and Fieldby dharmesonComment: Great picture, a little faster shutter speed would have really stopped the motion cleanly. I also might have laid the rake down before the race.
Also, I am assuming that this is a picture of the team shot put competition, since this would be a 1 if I didn't make that assumption. |

GOALby genghisComment: A solid shot, but the composition could be stronger. Showing more of the net would give us more context, and make that one pipe not be so prominent. |

blue angle # 3by TLL061Comment: Good job on the focus and the colors. Under advanced rules, I think you could have done a bit more with the color of the sky. |

Late May Trilliumby FrostyPawsComment: This is an average close up of a flower that might be a touch sharp. To score well, flower shots have to be absolutely perfect, as we see so many of them. |

On the Way to Schoolby CantiqueComment: This is the kind of photo that I have literally hundreds of in my house. It captures a moment that you will look back on in fondness later in life. The problem here is that even though it is moving to you (and me in my case) , here in a photo contest, it looks a bit like a snapshot. As an example, one of the boys has a post coming out of his head, and the focus isn't tack sharp.
Since it is advanced editing, I might have cloned out the garden and worked hard on the saturation in the grass.
It is a very nice composition though. Pictures of kids just being kids are good ones. In this one, I'm left curious about what they are happily chatting about. |
