This one seems very miniature. But less croping or wider frame would have given a better comparison. Also I think it would have been better to turn the palm down to show more of the smooth skin at the back of the hand of a newborn. For this subject sharpness is not the most vital thing (for my opinion) so I think litle gaussian blurr would have make this one better expecally since it seems litle noise.
But the idea is fine and the image is ok.

In this case I would have used softer light and just longer exposure if necesary. Would also have croped it thighter from below.

Good experiment and cool setup. But it fails because how out of focus the minature is. Not sure how you could have performed this better, maybe get yourself further away from the subject or use less zoom. I asume you are using smallest avalible aperture.

Is it a miniature rocked? Since I have no knowlidge of such thing let´s asmume it is. On the other hand I could say that there is no comparison for showing it, or does it? Sorry to say but dont find it very exciting on visual basis.

Seems your are experimenting in some way there and that´s a good thing. On the other hand I think your experiment have gained you a rather negative result. The flower (or is it not?) are very unsharp and not very exciting visually. The background has some bluish eliments but is very noise and (sorry for saying it) ugly. Also think the image needs thigter corping, expecially from below.

Dont cach my bye the first glance but when start looking at the reflection it gets much better. Like it but maybe needs i litle more colorsaturation for my opinion.
