Flying lessonsby MelethiaComment: Nice finish, Deb. I really like this. The invisible diagonal line connecting the bird with the boy really is a nice one. |

Sunset in Dyrafjordurby JohannesFrankComment: The discussion of fine art will go on long after all of us are gone, but to me, fine art and a great photo are not the same. Does this evoke an emotional aesthetic in me? Not really. Is it thoughtful and beautifully captured? Yes. Something about the pylon's position in the shot is just not quite right for me. I think if it were mine, I'd have it more "off center" but that's just me. Good luck. |

Walk this wayby glenncComment: I'm coming back to this. Some might just see a concrete and tile corridor, but as I study it, I see more. The juxtaposition of the shapes and angles, not to mention the light and shadows is really good. I like the textures and the almost abstractness of it as a whole. This is well done. The discussion of fine art is going to go on ad infinitum but I put this image into that category. I'm upping the score. GOOD LUCK. |

N/Aby RamblinRComment: To me, this would be more in the category of modern art, although it is a great photo, executed with thoughtfulness and good focus. Is fine art and contemporary art mutually exclusive? I think so, but maybe I"m wrong. Good luck!! |

Refuelingby scooter88Comment: Fine art is hard to explain. I think this is gorgeous and love the mostly high key approach. Is it a really good photo? YES! Is it fine art? I'm not so sure. Good luck. :) |

Curlsby buffysneeComment: I'm having a hard time defining 'fine art' from a 'good photo." I think they are mutually exclusive as their outcomes are not the same. Or are they? Hmmm I'm going to think on that one. I like the tonal range and the narrower than expected DOF. :) |

"Scaredy Cat"by JudiComment: Interesting. I would categorize this more as "modern art" but I'm no expert. I like the oddness of it. Almost surrealism captured in an image. |

Groveby james_soComment: There are many blurred images in this challenge and most are leaving me cold. This, on the other hand, does not. I like the colors and the painterly quality. The juxtaposition between the trunks and the branches is nice, adding a sense of movement, almost. I can actually see this appearing in a gallery. If you stretched in on canvas, it would indeed look like a painting. I like that one "stroke" of white slightly off center to the right. |
