canoe.jpgby DrJOnesComment: From the thumbnail, it looked like a crucifix in the boat. I like the simplicity of this with the sepia - it reminds me of days gone by or a lazy summer afternoon. Good work. |

monkeyby DrJOnesComment: I believe that's a marmaset. Adorable face. I love your DOF on this one. The warm orange of his fur is a great contrast to the foliage around him. |

lollypopby DrJOnesComment: Great shot!! Has Playboy contacted you yet???
The angle is great - lollypop gives new meaning to candy. Good job. Focus and lighting is perfect. |

Forgotten Water (JPG-based retouch)by Zed PobreComment: I like the contrast of the "industrial" against the natural not only in texture, but coloration as well. The warm bright tones against the cool grassy ones are a true stand out. I can't remember if I saw the first shot, but this one is a keeper for sure! |

Wintry Sunsetby ButterflySisComment: How unusual. You never think of sunsets and snow, but they do happen. Great execution of a beautiful scene!! |

Eclipse Moonby TomH1000Comment: How cool is this? They are almost like celestial bowling balls lined up in the ball return. This is lovely!!!! |

shaved head 4by DrJOnesComment: The light skimming his hand and his mouth is just outstanding. You shot it from a different than expected angle and it is so artful. The use of the deep sepia is perfect for the mood it evokes. Is it duotone? Great shot, Dr. J. |

Jacobby just-marriedComment: He is such a beautiful child. His eyes are great and the chewing the nail thing is so typical for a kid his age. I like the crop you used. You captured him so well!! |

Sunshine After Rain (from "Why Worry?" by Mark Knopfler)by dsaditesComment: I love how the drop magnifies the veins in the leaf. Very nice perspective and DOF. This is unusual. The purple and the yellow with the orange tones make for a nice color composition. 9
Upon 2nd review, this is still one of my favorites. It almost has an animal quality to it. Like some pre-historic beast with a giant eye (or maybe I've had too much coffee). Just stellar though. I think you'll do quite well with it. |
