My Size 1: grommet, lace, dust (circa 1973)by tateComment: This is great detailing. I almost think you could have even made it a single grommet with the lace coming out for a SUPER MACRO. Even as minimal as it is, it's a tad busy with the lacing and color variations and all the speckled dust around the grommets. |

Stands Out In A Crowd by ColeyComment: I love this . Great sepia. The angle and perspective is really good. Upon 2nd review, I'm really like this as much as I did the first time. The DOF is perfectly achieved. I'm upping the score. |

Wherever I May Roamby mtppComment: I like the leaning boot. I think I'd make the background solid white instead of the wooden floor. The texture and detailing is well done. |

Ghosts in the Hallsby xuan768Comment: I think this is really cool and a nice change for the challenge. I wish the photo were larger. The title suites the aparition-like quality of the sneakers under the school lockers. |

Army Bootsby Photogirl_in_VancouverComment: I like the dappled light and the back shot effect. Not the most interesting, but considering the subject we were given, this is more than just a pair of combat boots. 7 |

Dying to Rideby BikeRacerComment: I think what seperates this from the other studio type shots is the wheel in the background. The curve of the shoes mimic the curve of the tire - interesting and well done in that regard. The clarity is spot on. 8 |

Born to be Wildby StopDownComment: With the varied colors and all that's going on this shot, it's a bit busy for me. I do like the angle and the focus. I think maybe if you put it in black and white, then the color would no longer distract and you could concentrate on all of the other interesting elements of this shot. I think I'd crop out the chrome upon which the shoe is resting. I don't think you need it to ground the foot. 7 |

Lord of Roachesby paulmorrisComment: This is kind of gross, as we hate roaches, yet it is very interesting and the more I look at it, the more I like it. The slight desaturation of color works. The contrast of the stripes of the shoes is interesting along with the texture of the leather shoe and the ragged hem of the jeans. I'm upping my score upon 2nd review. |

Disembodiedby typologicComment: This has a whimsical sense to it which I like. The diagonal line is interesting to the eye. I even like the pink coloration. With the shoes being black against the negative space, they have great impace. This is definitely a fun shot! |

cinderella doesn't live hereby mocabelaComment: I like the elements of this shot alot. The leaves of the plant have a metallic feel. The single shoe with the light bouncing off of it is well done. I have a sense that somebody just ran off, leaving one tap shoe behind. The laces tumbling over the step is a nice touch. Compositionally, this is done quite well. It makes you wonder what happened. I'm upping my score. |
