Bright Eyes

Yep...now that I have my new monitor I agree...the eyes are overdone. Although, honestly I didn't do a whole lot to them. A bit of contrast and saturation, but both on the low end.

It is so frustrating to determine what monitor settings will be giving the most accurate portrayal of the photo, and it makes such a huge difference in the quality of the shot.

I just had show this one to my daughter and then add it to my favorites. Now I have something to look at whenever I need to smile. This is hilarious, and I agree that the arm just makes the shot.

A flawlessly executed b/w shot. It really appeals to me because it seems to tell a story. Having the smoke would have been a nice touch, but not really needed. I just think the exposure and b/w tones are excellent.

I think I would prefer a crop between the two...not quite this close, but not full. Beautiful job with the lighting and I like the natural, rather golden tones to the shot.

Very nice lighting on this one (difficult to not get too much glare on that top I'll bet) but I don't care for the expression or the pose. Something about the elbow brings too much attention to it and she doesn't seem very relaxed.
