Bird-4by pantannaComment: This is a cool photo.....It definitely does NOT convey silence. I "hear" those wings flapping and birds cawing as well as the water. |

Snoozeby kellianComment: heh heh....I like it. I don't care for the tones of the photo, but I like the rest of it. The only thing I could think to improve it would be somehow make it more obvious what you're smashing. |

Desolate Dockby fluxnComment: I really like this in black and white. Some people might say take out the garbage can, but I think it actually adds to the lonely, silent look of the dock. The single light also helps convey that feeling. Nice job. |

Silent Sentinalby RtwoComment: The photo appears just a little too dark to me. I see the connection to "silence" only through the title. Without that, I think the connection is weak. |

Silenceby JPRComment: I see the connection to silence, but this shot just doesn't do a thing for me. I think maybe the whole idea of a bug on a mouth is just a turn off. Technically, it's okay. A little too bright for my tastes, but I think that's the intentional effect. |

Tranquilityby tolyanchikComment: This is gorgeous. I think 30 seconds to straighten the horizon would really help improve the shot. I love the exposure and the reflection. |

Morning Meditationby ccraftComment: Now THIS shot conveys "silence"! Nicely done. I normall wouldn't want the person right in the center, but it works in this one. It's all about being "centered" anyway, when meditating and the eye just goes right to this person. |

The Arctic Fox and the Silent Preyby vtruanComment: This is a cool photo of a cute little animal, but I don't see "silence" when I look at it. I understand, by looking at the title, your connection - but I don't think it's an obvious connection. |

Stillby Firstrich1Comment: I like the composition in this one, but I don't care for the reddish tone. I thought about doing a shot like this, and you've captured what I thought would work well, but the tone overpowers it I think. |

No Kids = TRUE Silenceby cjavierComment: I thought of doing something similar to this. I ran into the same problem as I see here. I just don't see the interest....no interesting composition, angle or story to be had by viewing this photo, although technically I think it's fine. I think it would have been a little stronger with traditional swings. |
