This is a nice shot. I like the lighting, the clarity and the colors - except for the blue. I like the warm colors of the corn and the orangish whatever to the right, and I would prefer to keep that warm color tone throughout. The blue feels out of place to me. Good detail in the photo.

I like the slope of the land in this shot, and the wonderful yellow. The front right corner blurry branch is a distraction. I think this might benefit from some lightening around the barn area. I really like the field of yellow - I think it's the best part of the pic.

This is really lovely. I agree with a comment below about cloning out or cropping above the marks in the sand at the bottom of the photo. I "cropped" by holding some paper over it and it really made the rest of the photo pop more to me.

The other thing you might want to try for this is some heavy neat image. I like it a log the way it is, but it would be interesting to see the effect of blending things and giving a smoother appearance. That would definitely be personal taste.

I really like the reflection in the wet sand, and the look of the surf beyond and under the pier. It might even be interesting to do a crop of just the reflections in the sand.

Great job!

I think the biggest thing that hit me with this photo is that it appears out of focus...with nothing really singled out as being in focus. That may have been the effect you were going for, but for me it doesn't help.

Also, the lighting is interesting, but the colors are pretty bland I think. The shapes, focus, and all green color give it sort of a green blob effect for me. I hope that's helpful :(

Just read the other comments and apparently I'm in the minority! :) Oh well...just my humble opinion.

Snow dog! What a cute snap. He/she really is having fun in the cold stuff. The capture here is great, with the movement and flying snow. I don't think this was easy to do - as I'm sure your model wasn't exactly cooperative!

The only thing I would have done differently, if you could, is to put the dog in the left part of the frame, since he's angled moving to the right. Nice job.

This is a beautiful job! This is a great photo to learn that editing skill (which I still don't know, but I've copied those directions - so you've helped me too!)

In any case, the end result is a lovely photo, worthy of framing or putting in your gallery. You should be really happy with it!

My daughter just brought in some new stamps. They're from a series called "cloudscapes" and there's one on there that looks a lot like yours1 I actually like yours much better. See if this link works:

congratulations! Certainly is deserving. I love the reds and golds. The ribbon adds just enough interest without taking away from the ornament. Everything about the shot is just right!

This is really awesome. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of the brush - some of the handle. Other than that, it's really magical looking. The combination of the colors and stars is fun.

I keep coming back to this one. I really like the selective desat here. The focus and composition is good as well. I just feel like I should reach out and pet this pup. Just something about this I find sweet and engaging.
