Red Soaked Tulipby ErikVComment: Really like the rich colors. This could "pop" just a little bit more even. I think the dof is perfect, as I do like seeing the background flowers, but your subject is nice and clear with the droplets. A simple and elegant shot done very well. |

Getting Groomedby ErikVComment: This one caught my eye right away with the awesome colors. I'll be this makes an amazing print. I like how well it matches the challenge and yet stands alone beautifully on its own as a photo. Stunning. |

Simple Heartby taljComment: Nicely seen. I'll bet this would make a really interesting overlay as well. I like the placement of the heart in the corner. |

'Flower Power' by taljComment: Great line and the color pops without being over saturated. Excellent concept for this challenge! |

"A rose is a rose is a rose"by taljComment: I'm not sure I'm crazy about the negative space simply as a photograph, but I can sure see this with some text - an invitation or something - with the rose acting as a bottom boreder. Very good detail and color in the rose. I do like the "clean" feel of the shot.

01/03/2007by taljComment: This is a cool idea. I would have liked to have seen the levels played with a little more to darken the lines of the print and bring out the pattern a little more. |

Llynnau Mymbyrby taljComment: In my opinion, the snow covered rocks make this shot. The texture and lighting on them and great exposure on the snow add jus the interest this scene needed. The whole scene just screams "crisp and cold." Very pretty, clear and cool tones. |

Pyramide du Louvre, Parisby taljComment: A unique view of this landmark. The lightposts, of course, almost take over - but it works. The b/w treatment is flawless. It's less a portrait of the Louvre as it is a complete scene which incorporates it and it works beautifully. |

Week 2by taljComment: I really like the crop / composition on this one, plus the shading and the colors. It really draws your eye around the curve of the petals. It's not quite close enough to be abstract but has great form to it, like an abstract. Good clarity as well. I ilke how the center of the bloom is off center here as well. I'll be it makes a beautiful print. |

yay for playby magenmarieComment: Love this shot. I like how it's exposed for the water and makes the boy almost an anonymous (sp?) kid just having fun. The kick of the foot, the shadow/reflection on the ground - all just perfect. |
