I like this as being a less than traditional shot of a cat. Perfect focus and clarity. Great color in the eye and wonderful details. You handled the exposure of the black and white combo quite well I'd say. I wouldn't change a thing.

What a cool place to live and a wonderful eye for capturing this with the sign. Lighting could be a little better, as things look a little dark to my eye, but sometimes you just work with what you have. I do think I would probably crop more of the bottom portion of the photo, as I don't think that pile of snow really adds anything to the composition. By cropping that off, my eye goes more naturally to the sign and building, and less to the foreground. Hope this helps!

Wow! Awesome looking photo. I thought I had commented on this earlier, but maybe not. Those clouds are really dramatic. Not sure what post processing you've done, but it works. Almost looks like a huge wave about to crash down on the town. (We sure don't want another one of those!)

General Hospital Dome

I'd like to see you go back and have some more time to get shots of this dome. This is a very good snapshot, but it does feel more like a snapshot than a thoughtfully composed photo. I just love those copper domes and roof tops. I do really like the lighting here, especially against that dark sky. I'm sure that's probably what caught your photographer's eye as well. Neat story to go with it too.

Yup...pretty sweet! It almost gives the effect of light through a stained glass window. Nice expression and composition too. I'll bet she really liked this one. At first, I though the lighting was "painted" like with a flashlight or something. Great experimenting and end result.

A very sweet shot that caught my eye. Whatever it is to the right of the baby's head is a little distracting, I think. Looks like maybe a stuffed animal or pillow. It's bright compared to the rest of the shot. The b/w works really well here and the lighting on the faces is wonderful.

This would make a really cool print. I would have cropped out just a bit of the sun orb at the top. I like having the sun there, but not quite that much. The mountain scenery in the background just makes this shot. Wonderful opportunity for a great shot here and I'm glad you took advantage of it and shared it!

Technically, I think that this could probably be improved. It's a little dark everyplace except the belt, the composition could be opened up a bit more I think, and the focus is a little soft on the face. That being said, I think this shot was vastly underrated! The expression you've captured and the idea both merit at the very least a 5. I didn't vote in this challenge, but I would have given you a 5 or 6.

I think it's one of the few shots where the title really helps as well. Anytime you put a smile on my face (which this one did), it has accomplished at least reaching the viewer.

Cute idea. I think I would have liked a slightly more straight-on angle looking at the face a bit more. Colors are great and I think you made a good choice of the background, though it seemed to get mixed reviews. I also like the border.
