This is really nice. I would like to see the brightness toned down just a bit and maybe bring out a little richness in the colors, but it's also nice just as it is. For composition, I think it would have been better with just a bit less of the left side and including the full wing - however I know it's just hard enough to get a butterfly - much less getting that perfect composition before it flies away!

The shadow on the left is a distraction for me, but I'm not sure how I would light it differently. I like that you thought to do something a little more creative than just a straight on shot of the bloom. I feel like something is missing....some more color maybe? A different background? I'm not sure. Technically a good shot, but it doesn't wow me.

This is really lovely. The colors and composition work together for a very graceful and elegant looking photo. I would like just a bit more light on the left side of the feather, but that's nit picking. Definitely a creative way to bring out the beauty in this subject.

It's a pretty sky and setting, but nothing really out of the ordinary. Skies are one of my favorite things, so I do like it. Trees look kind of fuzzy, out of focus. Composition isn't too bad, with the sun on the one side and higher trees balancing the other side. I would probably crop some of the darkness off of the bottom to focus the viewer more on the sky. Thanks for sharing a pretty sunset!

Really nice macro and good color. Not beauty to me, but that is so very subjective! The dof really adds interest here as well...spot on with the focus on the head. Good job.

Miniture Hand Blown Glass Piano

I think you chose a tough subject to photograph! All the reflections and details make it difficult. It seems out of focus...especially along the top edge. Strictly centered composition, and the little details of the glass all seem to sort of run together in the photo....hard to show this sort of three dimensional item in a flat photo. I'm sure in reality it's a very pretty piece, but I don't think the photo does it justice.

I really like the creative take on this shot. Beauty is so subjective, though. I think it's a very good photo although it doesn't really convey "beauty" to me personally. I like the dof, the water droplets, the balance of the composition and I even like the tone (which I'm sure will get mixed reviews.) The lighting and exposure add interest and it's not a "flat" looking shot. Overall, a pretty high score from me.

Awww...definitely fits the challenge. It appears a little overall dark to me. It's a nice clear shot of a lovely subject, but not paticularly creative or different in composition or idea.
