masha07.jpgby hanlombaComment: This series is great!! Your stuff just blows me away. By far, one of my most favorite "Portrait" photographers on this site. I know portrait really probably isnt't the correct term for what you do, but I couldn't think of a better phrase at the moment. :-) |

Picture 006.jpgby No1_Dogman_2004Comment: Something really grabs me with this one, not sure what it is. It is a little bright in spots and you lose some details in the curls, but I dig the treatment you used here. The coloring and the grain with the dark smoky eyes. Very cool! Some of these shots look like they could be used in hair salons. :-) |

Charlotte-seldesat-11x14by elru21Comment: This is adorable, and I think your conversion is a good one, better so in this photo as you don't lose the detail in the dog that you do in the other two somewhat. This as a whole with the border and everything is really nice and would be adored by any grandmother. :-) She's such a little cutie. |

New York Skylineby jenesisComment: Hmmm, time of day was probably around 4:00pm-ish. We just missed the last boat to the island so we just ended up taking the harbour cruise, this was taken from the boat, Ferry... whatever. Very grey and overcast day. But the sun did peek out here and there. My Ground Zero (free Study) shot was taken a little later the same day and you can see the sunset in it.
As far as treatment, don't remember all the steps but obviously converted to B&W (can't remember if it was via channel mixer or greyscale>quadtone) and I know I used the high pass filter and a little USM as well. With curves and levels as needed, cropped and darkened the edges a bit. Probably not very helpful... I really need to get better at keeping track of my steps. :-) Thanks for taking a peek!
Now tell me, why do you have a piggytailed Icon?!? :-P Message edited by author 2005-04-28 14:52:14. |

0818s.jpgby garlicComment: This just makes me laugh. That look is priceless, kinda like "What the heck do you think you're doing, sitting there looking at me while I'm walking around naked in my living room, with nothing but my headset on" and when I say naked, well that's just the impression I get. :-) Way too funny!! |

Delicateby rscorpComment: Another beautiful floral. I really like how the focus is on the inside of the flower and the fabulous detail of the pollen. Great job of bringing out the lovely colors without overdoing it. Excellent composition, my only little tiny nit pik is the little twig at the bottom of the flower, but really isn't even worth mentioning. Very Nice. |

Illuminatedby rscorpComment: Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I can't believe how sharp the focus is on this. I don't think it could get more perfect. The toning is spot on, love the treatment. I can't tell if it's one flower reflected or two opposite facing flowers. It intrigues me and gets me really looking at it and studying it. Well done! |

hang 'emby messerschmittComment: Same reason I like them. They don't take away from the photo and will go with pretty much most decor. I'll have to continue my search.
I like the print. It's very virbrant but I also happen to be a tulip girl so there ya go. :-) |
