Jeepers! Are you sure this is a cucumber? Looks like an alien from who know where. Clever take on the challenge. Could probably be in stronger focus. The shadow is a bit strong. Maybe better lighting would have eliminated the shadow, "or" since the shadow looks something like a profile, think about zeroing in on it and making it a strong part of the composition. I do like your original take on the Challenge.

Oh, I wonder if this is by one of our Islandic friends. When I visited, I remember seeing enormous drying racks of fish and thinking "what a great idea!" Anyhow, a good idea for the Challenge. Probably would have been helpful to have the background even more blurred as it does have a tendency to distract...
