Jeepers! Are you sure this is a cucumber? Looks like an alien from who know where. Clever take on the challenge. Could probably be in stronger focus. The shadow is a bit strong. Maybe better lighting would have eliminated the shadow, "or" since the shadow looks something like a profile, think about zeroing in on it and making it a strong part of the composition. I do like your original take on the Challenge.
