The Art of Constructionby PaigeSComment: Delightful composition. I'm having trouble finding the construction involved in this one, but it is beautiful. |

Sidewalk in Januaryby TooCoolComment: Here's where you get to pick n choose from your comments. I say, don't crop, but lose (or dim) the street light in the lower right hand corner. The lacy branches work well with the power lines going up into a nice mysterious darkness at the sky. The too bright street light is a distraction. |

Campus Walkby TooCoolComment: The colors to me are harmonious, except for the two bright white lights from the windows. This is where a nice image editing program comes in handy. The bright whites are not the center of attraction, but they become such as the eye keeps going over there to check them out. Dull 'em down a bit...see what happens. |

Four Treesby TooCoolComment: These trees are really majestic. Wonder if there was another angle so the habitation, car, etc. were not in the picture. Eg, take it really low, shooting up (?) or to one side or the other. Maybe to the right as there's a nice progression in size going on.
Hmmm, I see I said about the same thing as "Stormy" said, but it did catch my eye. |

DQ'ed Processedby TooCoolComment: I think, actually, this would have been successful even without the 'whiteout' you applied. It looks as if there was some real snow in the original which might have contrasted well with more brown leaves... |

odalisque kittyby myceliumComment: Damon! While I (er) stand by my remarks made during the competition, I was delighted to see there were several schools of thought on those toes of yours...
Hope you gave that gorgeous cat a good belly rub after you took his picture.

Apple with Blossomsby riversongComment: Hi - I 've been reading over your comments on this beautiful image (one of my "9"s).
Just want to express a different view. I can see you wanted the picture to have the full range of darks and lights, and achieved what you set out to do. Thus creating a beautifully moody, expressive image that would look good on anyone's wall. A little mystery is a GOOD thing, sometimes.
I'll also add that even though most DPCers try really hard to calibrate their monitors, some do see things differently, especially on laptops.
So, keep up the good work.
