"Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look..." (And a big nose too)

Wow, I never thought I'd get to critique one of your images... This is going to be difficult because I, like most of your other commentors, scored this high.

Crisp where needed and blurred appropriately.

I suppose those who were looking somewhat literally and hurriedly, at the image, worried about the lack of focus on the man, without thinking of the story. It does tell a good story and is well photographed.

I do wish you had given your Tv, Av & ISO, but you didn't and that's the way it goes.

Nice work, of course.

Nice photography, excellent composition and subject matter. The grain in the background is a touch distracting.

Great stop action. Interesting. I never use the ISO 1600 - but after seeing this, I may do some experimenting.

Thanks for posting.

Greetings from the Critique Club

Hello! Yes, this image meets the challenge nicely as you were undoubtedly going for the 2:00 time (and too early for it).

I do have a couple of suggestions for you. In compostion, you might try moving your camera so that the tower has a little space on all sides. That left edge is a bit cramped, while the right side has more than enough space. And, if you can, try to include all of the tower in the shot - including that spire!

Then, you have good detail, but this image could use some contrast. If your camera supports bracketing, try taking pics over and under the 'official reading'. In this instance, I have a suspicion that this image would be improved lots by underexposing a stop or two.

You're getting there. Lots of practice and a good understanding of your camera will get you far. So keep shooting! I'll look forward to seeing more of your work on DPC.

Alice.

Hmm, I've heard of drinking orange juice out of the carton, first time I've seen coffee drunk out of the pot.
Good One.

I don't understand this one, and that adds to its mystery.

Great shot and pretty good lights. Maybeee just a bit better if the flag was not so centered. If it was mine (and I know it's not) I'd probably have cropped out all the lights and centered the interest in that beautiful flag image.

Hey, this one is validated! good image, but you know, It would also be interesting if you cropped out that huge chunk of black space to the right. (IMHO)
