Supermanby smykComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Congratulations on your splendid finish in the Fantasy Challenge. Since you scored so well, it would be redundant of me to dwell on your image and tell you the same things your many commentors already have.
So, I will move on to the next image in the queue, but not before telling you that since you are learning at warp speed, (from 5.2 to 7.2 in 5 Challenges) why not think about coming on board the Critique Club! Your expertise would be welcome. |

Fairy in the Forestby manic35Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club
You have a charming image that scored exceptionally well in the Fantasy Challenge. It certainly is one you can be proud of and if there wasn't such fierce competition, you would probably have another ribbon on your Profile Page.
So, I'm going to end my "critique" here and go on to the next person on our very long list.
My best wishes for your continued success in DPC.

My Island Homeby RickHComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Nice, dreamy image of an island gettaway with it's own pier. And the voters were pretty good to you with that 5.5.
I've got just one suggestion for you and if the topography isn't right for it, well, that's the way it goes: the island and the mainland behind it merge drastically. Could you get either a lot higher to give them separation or get a lot lower to eliminate the mainland all together. As I say, it's just a thought. And if you would need a skyhook, well "my bad" for suggesting it...
;>)
In any event, keep up the good work and I'll look forward to seeing more of your images in DPChallenge.

To be cherishby dexter51Comment: Appealing child, scored high. But wish that other chain was cropped out; it can be implied in this case... Still, lovely image. |

A "Living Fossil" - Tuatara (Sphenodon Punctatus)by kari1Comment: Greetings frm the Critique Club
Nice job here. You have good definition, good color and a nice composition. And, while not a great score, certainly a decent one.
IN this crowd on nature photography, that's hard to do. I have just one suggestion for you in this very nice image: because this was an advanced editing Challenge, you might want to consider either blurring out or otherwise obscuring those reeds to the right of the critter's head. They are the brightest part of the image, and the viewer will look at them first instead of the guy's form and face.
Of course it doesn't help his cause that he lives in a mess, but you probably couldn't exaactly reach in and pose him. ;>)
All in all, a nice image that scored pretty well.
It looks as if you are enjoying your DPC experience and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Trish in Redby GeeeComment: I'm going to disagree with the crowd on this one. The soft focus works well for me in this portrait. It would go well with the Modern Art crowd and I hope you enjoy this fine image for what it is.
Keep the unusual ones coming! |
