end of extinctionby AzCKellyComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Well, on the plus side, viewers felt you met the Challenge and gave you reasonable marks.
I'm trying to like the off-center composition and trying to understand the ty-in to the Challenge. But, for me anyhow, it's tough. So perhaps that is where some of your more average votes went. Esoteric, yes. Quick to catch the meaning, difficult.
Unfortunately, when our viewers are going through entries and voting, quick to catch the meaning seems to be the way to go.
So, while I think the white streak is a touch "hot" perhaps it has a meaning I don't understand.
With that thought, I'll say that your portfolio is an interesting one and you have lots of images that score almost off the charts. I'll look forward to seeing more of your entries in future Challenges. |

Sapporo Sidewalkby viljoendaleComment: Sapporo, eh? Reminds me of the old days whdn I lived in Upstate New York! Whatever, the lighting on this tells me you have learned the lessons of white balance well, and the composition isn't so bad either!

Small Bursts Of Lightby dickelComment: Isn't it fascinating to look at what is within a flower. Nice little fairyland scene. If you used a tripod, maybe a bit more experimentation with depth of field would be fun to do. |

Off in the Distanceby NaldComment: Nice b&W subject in the foreground; good rendition of the vastness of the desert, but those contrails are tough to look at. |

Micro Botanyby yantskiComment: While I realize you are giving us the habitat of this seed pod/dried flower, I have a suspicion this image would do better if you had given it a very tight crop. You're on the right track though, as the lighting on the stem to the lower right is gorgeous. |

The Legend of the Floating Mountainby flip89Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club
You have such a pretty scene here, and it does meet the Challenge. Unfortunately, it didn't score very well, and you have some clues as perhaps why it didn't from your commentors.
The cloudy day obscured the bright and vibrant colors that exist in the ground and trees and the mist concealed the mountain. When viewers cannot find a strong focal point, they tend to move on without looking for the interesting details that may lurk within.
Since this was an Advance Editing Challenge, you might consider the use of Levels and Curves and some of the other PS goodies to make the colors pop. Another thought would be to crop drastically both up and most of the right side, to concentrate only on that mystical mountain with just a touch of treeline to indicate ground.
Obviously, these are just thoughts. Your portfolio tells me you are a good photographer and I expect your next Challenge could be a winner!

Supermanby smykComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Congratulations on your splendid finish in the Fantasy Challenge. Since you scored so well, it would be redundant of me to dwell on your image and tell you the same things your many commentors already have.
So, I will move on to the next image in the queue, but not before telling you that since you are learning at warp speed, (from 5.2 to 7.2 in 5 Challenges) why not think about coming on board the Critique Club! Your expertise would be welcome. |

Fairy in the Forestby manic35Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club
You have a charming image that scored exceptionally well in the Fantasy Challenge. It certainly is one you can be proud of and if there wasn't such fierce competition, you would probably have another ribbon on your Profile Page.
So, I'm going to end my "critique" here and go on to the next person on our very long list.
My best wishes for your continued success in DPC.
