Great observation, fixedintime. The builder went to enormous trouble to match up planks on the door to match the front of the barn.

Oh, yes. If barns could talk. What stories this one would have. So much going on, leaving questions but no answers. The foreground shadows are especially nice in this one.

Lovely grey colors in that barn. The tobacco barns I remember in Connecticut were lots longer, but I remember them as having the same patina. Nice.

I love to see the way the farmers used the rise of the land to develop their barns. this is an excellent example. of course the wreath is a delightful touch.

Hmmm, more of that 'eave' shape, like the earlier church in the series. I'd love to see this church from another angle, perhaps low to the ground looking up...
