GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB

Hello Stephanie. I see we are neighbors! One of these days perhaps we will meet at a DPC Get together! I hope so.

What a lovely portrait you presented to the voters in the Delicacy Challenge. I like the black and white treatment you gave this image, and generally agree with your crop, except that perhaps if it was mine (and I know it isn't) I'd have taken a bit more off the head or left all of it in the frame.

The theme. Delicacy. Um, the lace is certainly so, and meets the Challenge well. Is it well enough defined in the frame to sway the voters? Maybe not. It is my impression that this and only this is what caused this image to reap a score that could be considered underrated. But, that's just one person's opinion.

Those of us who belong to the Critique Club don't have any special visual or occult powers. We just add our own personal viewpoints to the mix, and hope it helps.

I certainly look forward to seeing more of your work and perhaps meeting you one of these days.
