Strippedby toddw62Comment: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
What a super image. Great lighting, clarity, mood-setting; all the good things that make up a superior picture.
Members of the Critique Club are supposed to look at an image and try to tell the maker 'how to make it better.' Not in this case. I think the image is just fine as it is, and actually in this tough competition, your score is at least a decent one.
About the only thing I can do is encourage you to keep shooting, keep experimenting and know that there are many DPCers who really do like your work.
I look forward to seeing more of it.

Fresh Fish Fast Foodby rseeleyComment: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
What treat - both for the bird and for me. He gets lunch and I get a second look at this terrific image. (It received a high mark from me during the Challenge,)
Members of the Critique Club look at an image after the Challenge and try to give advice on how to 'make it better.' There really is not point in trying that with this image, as it is just fine the way it is. You even caught the water dripping off the fish as it goes to the table.
So, with a "well done", I shall go on to the next image in the queue and you keep going with the fabulous photography you obviously do well.
I will look forward to seeing more of y our work on DPC.

Kortum Trail Viewby ManRayfanComment: [b[GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB[/B]
aH ha, another Northern California DPCer. Welcome. It looks as if you are having fun with your new Canon DSLR. Oh, yes, I am a ManRay fan too!
Okay, to work.
The first thing I noticed when I opened your image was that your horizon was tack-sharp. Nice. You have a good composition with those rain clouds in the background, the rock in the middleground and that ravine close up. As your commenters mentioned, it is pretty flat, however.
The excitement IS there, though. By emphasizing darks and lights with Levels, and accenting colors, especially reds and greens, it is possible to bring some depth to this very nice image. Finally a tiny touch of dodging could give detail to that splendid rock.
The apple blossoms must be just about ready to burst forth in your part of the country. I can hardly wait.
Meanwhile, I shall look forward to seeing more of your work on DPC.

The Lookby tinkie2010Comment: GREETINGS FROM The CRITIQUE CLUB
Hello, tinkie2010. We meet again. And again you have a delightful image. This time of a charming young girl. Indeed, she looks sleep-tousled and sweet.
I think you processed the image well and have made the young child come alive in the frame. So there isn't much of anything for me to critique in this Challenge entry.
I'm delighted to have seen it again, and wish you success in future entries.

The Opposite is Trueby eye-spyComment: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
Wow! this is spectacular. You took a very difficult subject and photographed it well. It is immensely difficult to photograph glass without showing everything that collects on a clear reflective surface and you nailed it.
I'm afraid HotPasta hit it with his comment that this subject has been done before on DPC. Some of our "world-weary" voters find happiness in newer pastures. It doesn't - or shouldn't - dilute the fun of those who want to master the procedure.
You have an image that displays well and in this crowded field, your score is certainly pretty good.
Keep up the fine work.

My prefered pieceby Rino63Comment: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
When this image came up in my queue for critique, I giggled again.
It was funny the first time, and it is still funny and cute.
Unfortunately with a total of 13 low scoring 1,2, and 3 votes you just weren't going to score very well. It is too bad, because you know and I know there is nothing wrong with this image.
It meets the Challenge, it is original, creative and it is technically competent.
I'm glad you entered it and enjoyed this second look.
Keep up the very good work.
