BayBridgeby hManComment: greetings from the critique club
Congratulations on an exceptional shot of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. The colors are wonderful and your framing is excellent. You obviously know the exact 'best' spot to capture such a good likeness. (I wonder if it is Treasure Island or Berkeley-ish)
In any event, the Critique Club is here to help those who need a little assistance with their images. I'm pleased to say you don't need any help with this one, so I will say again, "Congratulations" and move on to the next image in the queue.
Keep 'em coming. You do splendid work.
Alice

Maple syrup/Sirop d'erableby snafflesComment: greetings from the critique club
Ah, Snaffles, you learned a lot about lighting but missed the Product message. (I've been in the same boat so many times!)
This very fine, well presented image just confused the heck out of our viewer/voters because they could not guess what it was. Yes, I know the title was there, but that turned out to be not enough.
Second guessing like mad here, if it had a home-made label stuck on it crooked, saying something like "Aunt Jane's Original Maple Syrup" your score might well have been different.
Meanwhile, you learned how to light a glass jar with dense, translucent material in it and that's a big plus. |

Escape | Imagine | Indulgeby SenayComment: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
What a fine entry you developed for the Night Shot Challenge. Especially with the added handicap of hand-holding a fairly long exposure.
Everything seems quite clear and certainly the letters on the featured signs came through perfectly legibly. You seem to have managed some natural vignetting which adds to the mystery of the composition.
If it was mine, I might have fiddled with the cropping a bit so as to keep a viewer's interest on the main attraction. I might have cropped out that bright light at the top of the frame and also the diagonal lights at the upper left. That would intensify the impact of the lettering and entrance.
But that is just another way of looking at your perfectly fine image. Keep up the good work. I'll look forward to seeing more. |

IMG_3184 Victors.jpgby sfaliceComment: The day I and a friend wandered by Victor's, we asked him to step outside for a picture. The shy Victor, in not perfectly clean whites, who presided over an immense black stove, declined. He was pleased though, that we liked his shop. |
