Love Worth Waiting Forby svt_gEEkComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Welcome back to DPC, svt_gEEk. I'm glad you decided to send in entries again.
I'm looking at your interesting entry in the Waiting Challenge and must say I'm having trouble deciphering it.
Yes, there is a ring box, complete with ring. In a ospital room? The two black objects are unidentifiable (sorry) and the background figure is a nurse/attendant?
Of course this could be a picture in which each person reads into it want he/she will and if so, Posthumous would find it interesting for his Art collection.
Unfortunately for your score, most of the other viewers of your art piece were also puzzled. Still, if this is what you were going for, then it's all to the good.
I do sincerely look forward to seeing more of your work.

3 Rosesby tinkie2010Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Hello tinkie2010! What flamboyant and lush roses you grow in South Africa!
Gorgeous colors in those roses certainly draw attention to them right away. It is unfortunate that the orange/brown background and those very green leaves compete for attention. If they had stayed muted in the background one could appreciate the roses more.
You selected roses that were 'past their prime' and accentuated that fact in your composition. This added originality to your composition and was a delight to note.
best regards,

Impatient Children at Airportby amateurboiComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Ah, amateurboi, we meet again! Bangalore International! Must have been a busy place. You were fortunate to find these cute kids there.
As your comments note, your subjects were not exactly the center of attraction in the frame and that probably hurt your scoring quite a bit. I did play with cropping your image and it seemed to center attention on the children more if you lopped off most of the ceiling at the top and some of the chairs at the bottom.
Then, if it had been possible to work a little in your editing program (probably Photoshop?) you might have been able to correct the white balance which shows up awfully blue on my screen. Failing that, a good way out of those difficulties sometimes is to simply make the image Black & White - using the sliders to control values.
Still, if you were traveling, you might not have had access to your editing program and you wanted to send in something. that's what counts.
Thanks for entering this.
