The Readerby GinaRothfelsComment: Nice tones and I really like the intimacy of the perspective. What happens if you crop the right quite severely - maybe a 10x8 vertical? Voted earlier. |

Ice Cream Girlby nickybComment: I like so much about this - depth of field, tones, expression in eyes, post processing. I really don't like her having her tongue out. Voted earlier. |

Red Doorby agrimaceComment: I find the scene charming, the colors delightful - you can hardly beat a red door LOL I do wish the shadows were quite a bit lighter in the top so this would feel more balanced. |

Cherry Blossomby tomeComment: The focus and clarity on the boy - his face and hands - are wonderful. I don't understand why you didn't crop the left and bottom - I think you could have cloned out the bit of knee or elbow that remained in the lower left corner and still met advanced rules. With an 8x10 vertical, you could have lost it all. |

Stareby MinsoPhotoComment: I know this is all about the eyes but they are over-processed for my taste. Very cute kid. |

Paint by numbersby mrbig65Comment: Looks as if you got good detail but used too strong a noise removal filter. I would rather see it used selectively or even have a little noise to having this satiny look, but that's personal preference. |

a man in a white shirt holding a big red balloonby jmritzComment: I LOVE this one personally, and I'll bet Dallas will, too. When my kids were young, we visited the modern art museum in Brussels, Belgium. They had a blast standing back and guessing the names of the art works. Then we would step forward to read them. When they had the title "right" (like "Three Balls on a Zigzag"), they felt soooo smart. When they were "wrong", they stood back and re-evaluated, often seeing the work in a completely new way because the artist's title had re-focused their attention. I hope this one does well with the voters, but that doesn't matter really - I do think it will score with Dallas. Voting later. |

Trash Bikeby LawtonComment: One I liked very much - the unusual, heavy texture works well with the subject which is nicely grungy :) |

Road Warriorby dswannComment: Too bad I wasn't your only judge -- you'd have ranked way higher :) Cool pov and selective focus, nicely simple of subject and treatment. I like it. |
