Fascinating post challenge information - I gave it a good score but did not fully appreciate what I was looking at. I thought most of the effect came from post processing which I found over-the-top. I'm very glad many others were more discerning - whether they knew about granular segregation or not. Sincere congratulations on the top ten.

I thought it looked a bit over-processed, but I could not deny the effective shutter speed and composition. 8 from me and not in my top ten if that makes you feel any better LOL I do really like it, though, if you don't mind my saying that. Congratulations on the top ten overall.

A wonderful capture - beautiful shutter speed. Like MaryO I had mixed feelings about the horizon line. Upon reflection, I think I agree with her that the tilt increases the sensation of being pulled in to the wave and image. Congratulations on the top ten.

Superb! Must admit I am one who is a little weary of sky shots as you note in one of your score tracking comments. A little weary of sunrise and sunset landscapes, too. And of slow shutter seascapes. And gorgeous drop macros. And beautifully lit, dramatic studio portraits. I could go on. But the truth is I cannot resist any of these when they are truly well done and this certainly is.
