Not sure what tvsometime means by the cloned version - maybe I didn't look closely enough, but they look like the same image to me only one in bw. I do think you lost a lot of detail on the right cheek and upper lip and esp on the nose in the conversion. I would re-do the conversion but keep an eye on those areas so you can erase whatever effects cause that blown-out look. I like the overall image a lot - great focus and expression on the main subject.

Ah, nice. The back lighting is great and well handled. I love the hand on the belly. Did you get any without the phone or did she have it up all the time? I would love to see this without the arm up so we had a nice clean diagonal line up her body and face.

Cute expression. I like the fence in the background. The grain I can take or leave - not sure what it adds either and I think Ann's suggestion that a lighter touch might work better is a good one. I wish his hand wasn't there - or it was more there. I had to really work out what it was.

Very nice and I like the idea of the addition of the glass of wine to this set-up. Seems as if you could try it in different positions in the composition - as if someone had been enjoying a read and a glass of wine and had just set it down for a moment. Focus is excellent and I really like the subdued lighting you are getting.
