Adopt a pet today by rozComment: You've done it again, Roz. The pose is adorable, the message important and in-your-face. This is attractive, simple, to the point. My 10 |

Big Oil Liesby GeneralEComment: I don't get it. Sorry. I don't know which "side: the billboard is on. I guess I'm just not sophisticated enough. For me, this is very eye-catching (good) but I don't know who or what the billboard sponsor supports. 5 |

Point of Intersection by namComment: Originally posted by markwiley: Fabulous image and congratulations on the PB. I'm curious how you got this perspective. |
No secret on the perspective - nor, indeed, any fancy equipment. I have a small (well, compared to my normal camera gear) Panasonix Lumix that I like to carry when I go out for neighborhood walks because it's quite lightweight. It also has the advantage of having a versatile range - 20-1200 AND, critical for the ball drop and subsequent bounces in this situation, a nice burst. It was early afternoon, sun and shadows were strong. I positioned myself to have my own shadow behind me, leaned over, pointed the camera down at the ground, and shot. Lots of fodder to play with later. |

Crossings & Intersectionsby TiberiusComment: This got an 8 from me and I didn't give many in that range. I really like it - could sit and study shots like this a long time. Maybe more contrast would have brought the wonderful patterns out even more. Congrats on the HM. |

Gordian knot by LevTComment: Terrific perspective and no question about the intersecting lines of these highways. I hate driving on sections like this myself, especially if they are unfamiliar . . . give me long and straight any day :) Excellent entry - congrats on the Yellow. |

crossings, intersections & things coming together!by rozComment: Well, I over-looked the oof leg - her buried nose probably bothered me more. This was a 9 for me, though. Great interest and amazing detail. Now that I'm looking, I'm noticing a few other things you could have cleaned up had you had a bit more time like whatever is intruding at bottom of frame. But the overall impact is sooo good. |

Skadiby MargaretNetComment: Great patterns. More than a hint of mystery. A look of days gone by - why does this bring the 1920's to mind? I also like the tones with the very subtle warming of the face. 8 |

the way of all fleshby tvsometimeComment: I would have enjoyed the textures and tones alone, but the leaf (and imprints of others now gone) is what keep me here and engages my thoughts. Great title to subtly call attention to it. 8 |
