daisy deconstructedby posthumousComment: This image doesn't strike me as abandoned. there's apparent plant growth here, which means the daisy could have grown here, and despite the fact it was destroyed, it wasn't left to it's own devices in order to try to make a life for itself. |

Paper Napkinby GeneralEComment: Sorry, this image is far too pretty and new for this challenge with your focal point not actually being what you describe in your title.
in order for this topic to work, i'd have to have an image of someone actually discarding the napkin to accept it...even then it's discarded, and i don't consider discarded and abandoned to be on fully equal footing in terms of usage.
To me, abandoned needs to have some future, current, or at least recent, significant value to the person leaving it. A napkin you used to blow your nose does not have the same value as the house you lived in but had to leave behind, or the car you drove to work in daily; or even the child you carried for 9 months but which you cannot provide a suitable life for.
in my opinion, this image DNMC for the above stated reason. |

The old barnby jnenvirComment: I like the red tones in this, it gives it a rusted feeling despite being wooden.
This looks like the perfect place to have an adventure when you're 6 years old! |

On a Clear Dayby AlbireoComment: I know you're thinking protection from the rain, but in reality you're supporting the Umbrella corporation and their zombie-plague-creating ways. |

Something's not quite right down at the pier...by eschelarComment: your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries. no move along you silly engligh kah-ni-git.
*sorry, i tried to be really harsh, i just can't do it. i like the sky and ocean in this, my only criticism is the stupid rocks in the foreground.
I mean really, could they not have the decency to get the hell out of your picture? photo-bombing or WHAT?!?
seriously, some rocks just have people in their heads... |
