not just once, but two times this has been abandoned as there are no signs of residence from those who built the nest.

one of the best 'abandoned person' images i've seen so far - the location, body language and minimal covering add to the fact this person seemingly has nothing in her life. the one eye showing on the tattoo looks like a young animal pleading for help, which only adds to this as it gives me a feeling that deep down she's crying for help but on the surface only a fraction of that would show through, and would quickly be covered by a facade.
i'd hope to see this in the top 10 but fear it may be lost on many looking for pretty pictures.

given the proximity to houses i find this to be more of a pile of tires instead of something abandoned. i'm willing to bet that the residents of those houses pay attention to make sure nothing bad is happening around that pile as it would potentially impact their safety.
doesn't have the same feeling of abandonment in my opinion.

poor little guy...
as gritty and unappealing a scene as you present here, you have done a great job of capturing the abandonment of childish attachments here.

sorry, not feeling the abandonment here. narrow DoF on a model with nothing else in focus bring the focus to her and not to the fact she was left behind. there is literally nothing else but her to this picture, that's more contrary to the theme than anything. having her "abandoned in a sea of people" where nobody is paying any attention to her, or having more clearly defined environmental details could bring more emphasis to her apparent plight in my opinion.

high contrast B&W on the brick may "add" age, but the overall scene here is dominated by the high rise building. doesn't feel abandoned from this perspective.

i don't get the feeling that i'm sure you're trying to convey here. to me this is an empty beach scene with a ghosted out blur (assuming it's meant to represent someone who left) but there is no indication that they abandoned you or their life in general.
a person looking towards the ocean, holding a memento of the departed, or a flower on the ground and walking away with the head down could convey the sense of loss of the person, but i do not feel that loss based on the scene you present here.

straight-on building shots feel very one dimensional. taking the perspective to include two sides can help if this is scoring low.
while it certain looks dumpy enough, it's just not that interesting.

definitely gives the abandoned feeling.
having more than one side of the building in frame could help with the perspective (and possibly your score if this is in the mid 4's as i'm guessing - especially after reading the scores thread).
overgrown bushes are a nice touch, but feel too cramped on top of your subject.

definitely gives the vibe of a crazy lady or a jilted lover, and the building sets a grim tone, but i am trying to comprehend why she would be dressed up and sitting on a pile of photos in such a ratty old building.
still, decent entry. 6/10
