WAY too much foreground for my taste - this has been happening in a lot of entries in this challenge, seemingly to get the shot of an old building.
getting closer and using a wider angle lens would've been great, or even just 'cutting the grass' before you resize, to keep the majority of the photo (2/3 or so, instead of the existing image at 1/3) focused on the building - your focus.

definitely fits the theme, but the OoF foreground plants take away from this in my opinion.
i like the boat by the vertical logs and the power plant/factory in the background - it creates a nice scene

interesting HDR on the brick - i like it.
the post in front is too distracting, even if you mean it to add to the abandoned aspect - it's too much.
the wood on the ground with old looking brick/wood buildings would've sufficed, even if you had to change your perspective and get lower to the ground to include some of these elements.
still a 5/10 from me tho

old, sure, but i don't get the feeling of abandoned from this - the windows look in decent shape and the door appears solidly functional.
this house certainly has a lot of character.

i like the comparative scene between the buildings and mountains, and it's definitely on theme. not as big a fan of the B&W as is, i'd have to compare to color to know for sure
