I have come back to this photo quite a few times, and have come to the conclusion that I REALLY enjoy looking at it. There's a mystery to it. The angle of the shot, at first glance, makes the viewer wonder what exactly it is. It took a minute to figure out you're looking upward. I love the light and burst of color; it compliments the reds. The fog gives an eerie appearance. Great editing and overall, wonderful shot! One of my favorites in the challenge.

Unfortunately, I found the thumbnail of this more appealing. Perhaps it's the editing process that throws it off for me. There is a lot of "reds" in the photograph, however, I just don't find it that appealing.
But, nonetheless, it's just my opinion.
