Retiredby dtallaksonComment: I really love vintage/retired/decayed/boneyard pieces. These types of images stand out to me, simply because there IS quite a story to tell. The history of the people who used to ride this, the places they would go. Oh, how I would enjoy watching the story be told.
The only critique I have is that the processing feels a little overdone (for my taste). I think if it was a little less, perhaps a little desaturated, it would have really stood out (to me).
Still, I gave an 8 for this image.
Nice shot, great title... a real story here!
Well done. |

"...who lives behind the dark windows?" he asked.by dougi555Comment: There were a few things that stood out in the photograph. First, the processing. I love what you've done here, it works wonderfully. Second, was the angle. It's spot on. The way you have captured the building is almost perfect. There is an eerie, dark feeling to the photograph, and the title just works! It gives the viewer a feeling of uneasiness. Like I wouldn't want to walk passed this building alone.
One of my favorites of the challenge!
Well done. |

Life Goes Onby MarfunComment: Very wonderful story here! I love the title. So fitting.
This hits home because of everything Dallas has been through. The struggle to go on with daily life, to get back to a "normalcy" is a difficult one. And this photo exemplifies the fights that people are living every day.
I really like the pop of color with the balloons. The pinwheels give a sense of happiness to the photograph, even though overall, it's a challenging one. Great lighting and really like the processing.
The look on the girls face is almost one of defeat, but you can tell she wants to continue on...
Very nicely done! One of my favorites of the challenge. |

Come back my Loveby cyparisComment: This is a wonderful photograph portraying a real story! It's something that touches me, because I think we have all been there at one time or another in our lives. It tells of sadness, a yearning. It makes the viewer wonder, did they divorce? Was there an affair? Is the loved one passed away?
A touching photo.
Great use of DOF. The lighting, being somewhat dimmer, works well with the overall feeling portrayed.
Wonderfully done. One of my favorites in the challenge. |
