The colors are a little too dark for me. It almost blends in completely. Perhaps a little more lighting on the pawns (those are pawns, right?), or a darker or lighter background color?
I like the idea... just the colors are too similar for my liking.

The idea that you had to cover the light with fabric so that it shines through works well.

Blue bells and blue sky

I have come back to this shot time and time again. I like it, but... there is something that is off to me. I am thinking it is the face that there are strange edges/outlines on the stem and leaves. I like the angle of the shot... but this almost looks like it was cut and pasted on a different background... not saying it was, it just looks that way due to the edges. Lovely blue shades, though.

Pretty purple colors. Think that this shot isn't quite sharp enough... but I like that the focus is on the end/tie of the balloon. Well done. And nice title as well.

Nice color on color. I think the lighting may be a little harsh on the rope, and it's casting a dark shadow... but that's also interesting at the same time.
Nice detail, good DOF as well.

No Escape

Very delicate looking shot. Love the focus of the feathers... great detail. The lighting looks like it may be a little harsh at the stem? But perhaps that is just the color... rather than lighting.
Like the glass bead/water drop/object that is laying upon the flower. Great color on color. The stark black background really makes these two objects pop off the page. Originally, I gave this a 6, but I'm bumping it to an 8 after further review.

Beautiful Blooms

Lovely shot. The main thing I notice that is "out of place" is the green blur at the top left corner of the shot.
As for the main focal point, there is nice detail and decent focus. The water/dew drops add for a little more interest. Would have liked to had seen the front flower a little sharper/crisper.
But very nicely composed and shot.

Great macro shot. Lovely focus, good detail. Nice green on green, and the brown throws an added color emphasis in there. It also pulls out the brown specks on the green vine(?). Very nicely shot, composed, etc. Well done.

I like this, but the colors seem a little flat. Perhaps it's the direct sunlight that is washing it out.
Nice capture, a little PP and it could really stand out.
