Great capture. Perhaps a little wider to include the snout/mouth of the alligator and it would have been even better. Love the colors though. And great detail.

Wood

I like the concept of this. The direct sunlight looks a little harsh on the tree, especially the one of the left. The wood on wood gives different textures to the shot, but I'm thinking perhaps a different angle? Like looking up towards the tree, laying on the ground, taking the shot (but still keeping the fence in)? I don't know if it would work.. but it's worth a shot to try.
Anyhow... I do like the detail, the lighting is just throwing it off for me.

On a more serious note. I like what you've done with the shot. The composition is nice, as is the angle. The detail and focus seem to be good. Nicely done.
