In my opinion this could have been improved by getting closer to the flower, if possible - if not, maybe holding the stalk on the right out of the way during the shot to make the background less cluttered. The colors also seem a bit on the green and cool side - a "warming filter" effect would go a long way.

Determination

To me this is sort of torn between being a silhouette and an environmental, story-telling shot. Usually silhouettes are stronger when close up, and story-telling shots tend to work better when there is detail visible throughout. Exposing for the sky brought some nice detail into the clouds, but at the expense of everything else.
