"Grow Old With Me"by illini75Comment: (voted earlier, coming back to comment)
My team and I were marveling at the dearth of comments in this challenge so I thought I would at least attempt to correct that a little:
I love the composition here and the black and white conversion has been done gently, with respect to your subject. The image seems a little out of focus - soft - where I expected crisp lines on the hands, but the play of light across the image is lovely. |

I really like this portrait as it speaks to the viewer regardless of whether you read the title or not. However, the pole behind his head is distracting; perhaps a crop just above his hat would help remove that focus while leaving more than enough environmental elements to still tell the story. |

The Last Sunsetby MeMex2Comment: (voted earlier, coming back to comment)

Sunset colours are magical and you have captured some of that here. You have used composition that leads the eye straight to the sun then allows the viewer to discover what lies on the horizon. However I feel that the foreground doesn't quite work; the colours seem hinky (yes, it's a word... it's my word) and it seems out of focus with a strange black triangle image left along the edge. Perhaps a different element of foreground interest could have been included. |

He looks like he knows what he's doing. Love the use of dof here to really tell the story. |

Exactly how I'd like to end my day. Unfortunately I'm usually still in front of the damn computer until minutes before bed. :( |

I was expecting someone to do an image like this one. I've always wondered why people over dramatise by putting in extra pill bottles etc. I don't know that an image that could be this powerful needs the extra props. |

Where the hell do you guys get needles like this? And I'd love to know what reflective surface you used please. Anytime I try something like this I get double reflections on the edges. Well done. |

Negative space - check. Composition - check. Sense of impending doom - check. I like it. |

Creative high key image. Use of perspective and areas of shadow are effective. I don't even mind that it's not perfectly symmetrical as I think it adds to the charm of the image in this instance. I wish you'd been able to spell 'omelette'! |
