I keep on going back to this. I am sure people will find fault that this is not banancentric but the challenge says as long as there is a banana in the picture ... so surely this one fits. I love color contrast, the off centering of the rose and the brilliant red color of the rose. I just wish you didn't cut the petal so close at the bottom, but I am just being petty. DOF is also great. I don't know what else to say but I hope you finish in the top ten, or top twenty at least.

Good use of negative space especially that you filled it with color. Maybe increase the overall brightness/contrast just a tad to bring out the texture of the jar and the wicker. But that is just me.

Beautiful symmetry ... probably crop a little closer from the top and bottom for a closer and even more sinister look but I am just being petty. The lighting especially the back lighting of the hair is gorgeous.

Simple and beautiful. Multiple light sources might not be obvious, but I am sure you used more than one. The texture of the petal and the shadows are just exquisite. I would have liked the dew to sparkle a little bit more, if you reshoot this, maybe place it just near the light and not under the shadows. But for this challenge, you got 'it.'

Very 'arty,' if I can use that word without being derogatory. I like the color and the overexposure of the light on top. It gives this an edge. The cropping and framing is also out of the ordinary. Hope you do well ...

Incredible. Heavenly is actually a better word - colors are wonderful, framing is exquisite, details are remarkable, clarity is something I aspire to. (While I don't like the long title, I agree with you that it's necessary because the light sources here might not be obvious.) In my top ten choice for this challenge. I really hope you do well.
