Frosty the Snowman Wreath!by tolovemoonComment: Actually, I think it's kind of cute. Well photographed, though I think a slightly greater contrast between the more and less brightly lit sides would have brought out his shape better. |

Big, plastic drummer boyby lilnukeeComment: Surely these internally lighted plastic blobs embody the spirit of "tacky." This is a nice rendition - the light of the drummer boy clearly comes from within, and the background lights are just enough to give a sense of place without competing with him. |

Alas Angelesby ImagineerComment: Tacky, yes, but also a very pretty photo, with good detail and a nice range of colors, particularly in the glass decorations around her (which also look pretty tacky). |

Sailin' Santaby ShelleyComment: You may have found the tackiest decoration around, but the photo quality doesn't bring him out. Why not focus or crop tightly around Santa? IMHO he also needs more exposure; he is almost grayed out. |

Simple japanese winter decorationby radurComment: This is a pretty decoration, not at all tacky - at least not to these Western eyes. It's a nicely lighted and clearly detailed picture, and the decoration is interesting, so I'll rate it that way and give it a 7. |

Nacimientoby rameviComment: I like the overall effect of this photo, but I think the point of sharp focus should be on the figures, not on the lights in the foreground. If the soft focus was intentional, the lights should have been shifted (they probably should have been shifted anyway). Another possibility would have been to use a soft-focus lens or one of the many makeshift equivalents, or to add the blur in the computer later. |

a lantern from shells...by gcosueComment: Very pretty photo. Is this a lighted decoration on display outdoors or something smaller. The lack of scale makes me keep looking at it and in the process appreciating the variety of shades and details. |

Which is kitsch?by coolharComment: These are too pretty to be tacky. I'm not sure what the significance of the jugs in the foreground is, but to me it doesn't really explain the sense of tacky and it does take away from the colors and metallic textures of the decorations. IMHO if the point is that metal trees are inherently tacky, the tree limbs should have been more prominent. |

Snowmanby channeledComment: Cute idea to use marshmallows to make the snowman. Surely your creativity could have extended to a way to hang him. The hand in the photo ruins the illusion and contrasts badly with the desaturated tree needles. |
