Golden Trioby JaguarComment: Very pretty lamps, and you've captured the texture of the glass beautifully. |

Fiery Iceby jenesisComment: Nice idea and pretty colors, but it seems somehow flat to me. |

The First Element - Earth by jonpinkComment: Nice sense of the texture of the earth. I also like the sun's rays breaking through the clouds (water). This picture works well in black and white. |

Sunrise, Santa Cruzby ronnersComment: Many subjects work better in black and white, but IMHO sunrises and sunsets are not among them. I can imagine beautiful colors in the sky, and their reflections on the water, but I'd like to see them. |

Coniston Waterby ImagineerComment: Nice use of foreground elements to frame the shot and give a feeling of containment to the water. The hot spot in the right background is an unfortunate distraction. |

Rechargeby AV8RComment: The placement of the figure turns what could be a very mundane seascape into an interesting composition and gives a sense of the scale of the beach and ocean. |

Fire/Volcanic furyby trainComment: Is this really a volcano? How did you get it without being burnt to a crisp? Nice colors, good composition. |

Great Miami River- Hamiltonby Crafty SueComment: Nice composition, but way too much contrast. Much of the water is blank white, and the background trees run together in a black blur. Possibly taking the shot on a less bright day with light diffused through clouds would reduce the tonal range and get some detail into the highlights and shadows. |
