A Dirty Canvasby kausikmpiComment: I think the placement of the buildings and the mountain line is a great compositional move; I also think that the "dirty" window filter works. I do however, think that a distraction is the horizontal wires. This has such a great composition and feel that you might want to try photoshopping out the wires.
Again, really nice shot! |

Providence Athenaeumby L2Comment: Great clarity; its a very interesting composition- the thing that really works is the symmetry. Great shot. |

Ice Treeby KaDiComment: The starkness in your shots is amazing. I just choose to write on this one; but you reallyy have an uncanny knack at pulling out the ..stark. |

Sunshadesby keeperofduffyComment: So stark and razor sharp against the sky; very nice. Almost abstact and trancelike. Great work. |

Object d'Artby zeuszenComment: Great stark background; excellent angle; there is a timelessness to this shot; it could have been fifty or a hundred years ago. |

Summer colorsby kosmikkreeperComment: This is such an interesting shot. so deep; yet, it is very subtle how the focus remains deep into the shot tricking perspective and accomplishing front and back with color and form instead of sharpness.
Again teh warm yellow and khaki building mix perfectly with the cool cobalt night, converging just above the water and creating a focal point for your eye to rest. |

On the river Styxby kosmikkreeperComment: I think that the symmetry here works brilliantly. the rope is perfectly placed; neatly coiled. This is the view that the person being transported sees as the ferryman stands behind and licks his proverbial chops.
I like the cool vast negative space of teh water being slice with the warm toned hot boat.
excellent work, as always. |
