Sport (...and Photography)by HawkinsTComment: Just as a purely monochrome abstract, its really good, and its transformed from a snapshot into something special by the black and white. |

One way ticketby RaeKComment: I like this one very much, its a shot to stop a while on. At first I thought the darkness in the front was awkward. But as I continued looking I realized the sense that I was getting was not a criticism of the shot and composition, but a dark and uncomfortable loneliness. And when a shot can make you feel like it is supposed to, thats pretty good. If you have to sacrifice the "wow factor" for that, don't hesitate to do it every time. |

My children's joyby RaeKComment: I have one about that size, perhaps a bit smaller. I like the background, its pleasing. The light says March to me, winter light with early summer temperatures and flip flops. |

Can't Get Enoughby KristinaGComment: Great clarity on the bread. When I see a stock type shot, I always look for a bit more, something that made the photographer choose the shot. Sometimes, its fun to get a really high quality baguette, and some super chocolate, not too dark, not too milk, and just warm the bread, not toast it, let the chocolate sit for a while and then. perfection. also works with sesame seed crusted bread. But then again, Nutella and fluff works too. Message edited by author 2012-03-26 08:58:11. |

My House In The Countryby IAmEliKatzComment: The scale of the shot is so big, that it has a difficult time conveying, or rather, allowing the viewer to absorb and create their own story. This is not really a criticism, because you get what you get, and because I liked the shot and gave an 8, also I could relate and saw a Miller's crossing style story and mood in the shot. Perhaps subconsciously the voting bias was toward a more active and aggressive addiction, hence place 1 and 2. |
