Patience by CuttoothComment: I have been in dreamy coves with Bear, and the glow you used really brings out the other-worldliness. |

Hello darkness, my old friendby PennyStreetComment: I had to come back to this. I feel it probably didn't get proper respect during the challenge because it is a tougher image to crack, one that you have to look at and let seep it, not click through quickly. Even with the fine toothed comb of a jury vote there probably wasn't enough time.
I get the feeling of a dark mushroom Samurai riding public transit, with white silk scarf and the maddening feeling that I can almost focus on what is in my peripheral vision, but it eludes me. All this wrapped up in the Sound of Silence lyric- which is the happiest sad song ever. It also made me think, photography takes a slice of time and transforms it visually, but it also forges a truly necessary silence. |

Be Stillby salmiakkiComment: Such a beautiful shot- a mantra to hold on to. The colors are perfect, the softness of the sky gives way to the appearance of much depth in the dirt-clay ground. The color temperatures are fantastic in range from hot to cool.
You can't plan that, you have to feel it. I don't think enough people stared at this long enough. Perhaps if it was covering the length of a museum wall... |

see ya later alligatorby tvsometimeComment: Elements of suburban life exposed. We are constantly greeting and leaving each other, so much rushing around that our true selves are replaced by faded apparitions, always coming and going, leaving and waiving and greeting and au-revoir-ing.
On a visual level, very nice compositional lines, the garage, the car window, a nice shot of the woods. Goodbye it is. |

Citinessby TiberiusComment: The colors and the tall aspect ratio made me back a bit off of this photo, made it difficult to assess. However, I returned, and I am aware of details, the McDonalds sign, the Chinese script, the wires upon wires. If this was the view out of a window in Hong Kong, for instance, I would expect nothing less. |

burning trollby cutoutComment: Dark and terrible and dripping with blood and fluids and wood stain. Excellent work and the sacrifice is accepted. |
