South with the Old, North with the Newby WonderDudeComment: the find and processing are both great. the composition is passable but could be even better, and by that, it might have been able to fix that with a crop, paying attention to the edges of the photo, or perhaps a subtle vignette. That might play nicely off the symmetry, or interesting lack there of in the center.

Stormy weather lies aheadby sarampoComment: The blur and the great blue hues create tension and bleakness. I am not usually a conventionalist, but perhaps making the focal point in a more golden ratio position, rather than dead center, might add even more unease and even more drama to the shot- adding a heightened sense of foreboding to the stillness before the storm. |
