Catcher in the Wryby daisydavidComment: Very fetching image. I like the idea of a sort of diorama look but am in two minds abut the Oscar de la Renta look alike portrait that appears added to the picture - therefore your "wry" pun (?)
I find that by cropping from the left adds to the composition

Tribute to O.Henryby lei_73Comment: It was clever of you not to title your picture "Cabbage & Kings".
A very crisp image, dew and all. Might have benefitted form a portrait format to allude to a book cover.

Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann by MargaretNetComment: If this is the view from the sanatorium, I might change my easy chair around! Just kidding!
What a zoomorphic mountain. Quite amazing. It's a St Bernard dog.
Greta shot. I might have preferred for this challenge a different type of image, but this is a good landscape

To the Lighthouse (Virginia Woolf)by KroburgComment: The second Virginia Woolf's lighthouse in this challenge. To me, this is much closer to the symbolism of the novel. The trailing wires make the shot. Perhaps less saturation would have given more of the intangible feeling that I look for but the image has this burned-by-the-sun quality that is appealing also.

To Kill A Mockingbirdby mefnjComment: What a beauty this is! It looks like a fossil. It looks like it was constructed from tiny, most delicate pieces of ivory. It looks like a fabrication of the mind.
It's too bad that you applied the title of this novel to it. Might have been as well Dante's Inferno. or a Conrad novel.
Still, as a photo in itself it's fascinating.

Kafka's "The Castle"by RyanWComment: I like it a lot and wonder if Kafka would not have loved it also.
Yes, this is about alienation, about bureaucracy, about the closing of the government ...ha, ha but it's shown with an artist's eye, and that's our saving grace
