Winter coatsby EnlightenedComment: A beautiful image and processing.
Timeless and filled with a life unknown to us; there is a clear conversation going on there |

Because many of these are challenge entries it's difficult to navigate. When I click "next image" I get another persons photograph. |
Henry, don't look at the top left corner of the screen but at the second rectangle. Under Don's portfolio there is the entire forest and it's the easiest thing to go forward or backward. |

You might want to give us a clue, perhaps versified, perhaps in rearranging this deck of cards in quatrains or by the number of heart beats or trochees?
I do not like to point to my favorites; actually when I walked for the third time into this forest I found them in earlier comments.
I think that this first photograph as a starting point is just glorious. I did not see it before since I found that I never looked or voted in that challenge. Same for other shots (shots in the dark or taken directly into the light)
Oh, here I go again walking the tightrope! |

This collection of shots counterbalances salmiakki essay.
You presented us with the "Idol of Kruger Park".
This idol seems to have been a convoluted creation of the terra incognita; the consequence of a turmoil of the earth when everything was boiling and spewing and smaller fragments were finding a shape to live in. It emerged slowly this idol and painfully raised itself and became an independent moving form (an old aspiration of the mountains)
and managed to live close to earth, even moving as graciously as it could manage. No need to a good eye sight since the world above does not present much interest…..
…….
Anyway, enough of my rambling. I tend to appropriate everything I see by looking deep and that's what art does for us. This park of yours Herman and the country you live in is filled with marvels and I love to get glimpses of it that I normally do not get from payed assignments. |

The Pathwaysby rooumComment: Oh Clive, if you cut down to 19 images you could call this little jewel a "villanelle". Mind you, I did not know the term but found it when looking to paraphrase Dylan Thomas's title of his ballad:
" do not go gentle into that good night"
(while looking at your ode in my head were popping verses of DT; also "And death shall have no dominion" but your choice was perfection itself)
Just wonderful. |
