I was waiting for tiberius to participate in this challenge. And if it's not him it's definitely Hong Kong - never been there but read recently the childhood memoirs of Martin Booth and googled Kowloon and all the places he mentioned and gasped in amazement and sometimes in horror.
I find this image perfect for what Gursky wants to show. Imagine it printed really large or imagine yourself there!

It might be my monitor, but the image is very cloudy. More then a silverprint would be, if this was the intention.

A bit too dark - depending on the monitor probably. It echoes some of the good Russian movies such as Rublev for instance
