visions of perthby bspurgeonComment: Am wandering of the interest of this image in this medium (Lyrical abstraction). Hans Hartung had done with panache in the early 20th century this gestural abstract style and this is too much "in the manner of". I would prefer a drawing or painting to this photo. Therefore I do not mark it because in a photograph I expect a different feeling. |

Moonshineby sinistral_leoComment: This is so dark, at least on my screen, that I cannot see really anything. So I do not mark it. |

Restingby AbraComment: A true Rorschach. Just a touch too murky, maybe for my eyes. |

the pier, Xby bspurgeonComment: Masterly composition. The hand clasping the x intersection is one of the great "accidents" unless you carefully planned it, which would not surprise me in your case.
As a side q, how do you make the link to the other Balboashots? Sorry for the ignorant question. |

Carwash Bluesby PenelopeKComment: It has a great feeling of happiness; all is well in a nice world.
Could be a French painting from the late 20th century.
Until I find " le mot juste", I place it with my favorites. |

Black Sheepby posthumousComment: This black sheep will go directly to my "gallery" and will not be alone anymore.
My only 10 in this race.

I Walk the Lineby gyabanComment: Nice illustration. A bit too far from photography per se.
You put me often in this dilemma of evaluationg an image that it so well done, imaginative , etc in a context in which it does not belong exactly.
I catch myself often using a picture as base for digital art and refrain for using it in a challenge that is not expert editing.
Just my opinion here. I might be too much of a purist.
Congratulation for getting so quickly to this point, since you said that photography is quite a new hobby for you. Or is it already a profession? |
