first ear loweringby leonedavisComment: Absolutely splendid. More so since it has a child as main character. Who needs to see all the cute babies in the world? The family and friends only. Or in a challenge requiring that.
But this is a great candid, a great catch, and great processing. The allure of the child, the moment when the father turned his head ... You can almost hear the silence, the bumbled question, the barber in stop motion. This IS NOT A BABY PICTURE and applaud you for that.
Yes, a 10 |

Chameleonby davidfallsmithComment: A good illustration done by a virtuoso. Remains an illustration for me. A portrait is a different thing. No mark |

On a loss of a daughterby HighNoonerComment: That's an uncanny picture. If the title is true, I am at odds of the fact it's published.
The eyes only, without the close up, would have said it all, without any title.
But I am probably totally wrong. It's in this context, in a DP challenge, that I feel bad having to look at this man in the most horrible pain. We look plenty at wars, the known and unknown. it's a great picture but .... |

Digital Photographyby MikeComment: Another exercise done in so many ways. I though that Chuck Close put an end to it but, as exercises go, they're always useful.

Teenage Struggle by senor_kasperComment: The second exercise of the kind in this challenge. Well, that's the only way we can really see our faces. |

my happily demoralized formationby bspurgeonComment: Totally haunting in the best possible sense. The look on the eyes took me back to the promises of childhood. It's also a picture after a war. 10, of course |

The Artisan by gyabanComment: Heck, why these exercises end up almost all the time looking ugly? Lot of work here but ....
