Painting the Corners by toddheadComment: I cannot wait to see how you did this. I love this shot but something about it bothers me just a bit, I wish the pitcher could be in focus as well to really add to the illusion of out of proportion. An 8 |

Filling the Dock: QM2 in New Yorkby cmberghoutComment: Rather spooky that my husband is watching a doctumentary on this very ship, LOL!
A nice shot but too much surroundings, very busy shot with too many distractions and the focus is wanting. A 3 |

life is mostly waterby ursulaComment: Not really sure how this meets the challenge, I'm guessing you were in the grass, covered with dew or recently sprayed, hence the water spots and blurred grass in the front. It ends up being very distracting to me, maybe if the camera was a little higher and you went for a comparison between the grass and the trees? Sorry, a 2 |

Cut Flowersby scottwilsonComment: LOL! It took me a moment to get this one, I LOVE IT! Great job! The only thing I would have done differently is cropped a little tighter on the sides, especially the right, the hedge is a bit distracting. A 9 |

Tunneldanceby marcoComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
First off, this is a great shot! I love the way it meets the challenge with several silhouttes in the shot. The curve of the tunnel draws you in and takes you right through the shot, but on the left side, for some reason I find it a bit distracting, can't quite put my finger on it. It almost looks cut off, maybe if it was more balanced with the right side? The blue light is wonderful though the white ones seem just a tad harsh. The one by the person's head on the left reminds me of the cartoons where you see the train light in the tunnel coming towards you.
The way the shaft of blue light came between that person's leg was also a great capture. Another way to lead you into the shot and take you through. Very nice overall.
Hope this helps!

Drum Roll, Please!by jmleliiComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
This is a great shot of the drummer in the band but I'm betting you got a lot of, "Doesn't really fit the challenge" because you can see so much detail in his face and such. Now, let me look and see if I was right. Yep, I was right. It has the potential to be a great silhouette with stronger lighting behind the drummer to darken him up a bit more.
I had given this a 5 during the challenge because it is a great capture of an action shot but like I said earlier, not quite a silhouette. The cropping is well done and the overall composition of the shot also works very well. Just need to have a stronger light behind him.

Untitledby leafComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Wow, what a beautiful shot! Not much to add to this shot except like others I have to wonder exactly where the silhouette is.
The angle from which the picture was taken plays tricks on my eyes, one moment I can see the bridge coming towards me, yet at the same time leaning away. The illusion is a wonderful trick of the camera and a great catch by the photographer.
The darkness on the left is a bit distracting while the smokey light on the right works very well with this shot. Maybe a slightly tighter crop? This shot whould have been perfect for "Where you live" and probably would have scored much higher in a challenge like that.
I do also wonder what the shot might look like if it was straightened up a bit but then you would probably lose the illusion that has been created.
Good Luck In Future Challenges!
