Wow, I assume the WC stand for World Champion? WOW! Impressive and I bet she's used to being in front of that camera!

I like the set up on this shot and the use of the negative space works well but the lighing leaves me bothered for some reason, can't quite put my finger on it though. I'm thinking I would have liked it coming from your side, not back lit since so much detail is getting lost behind the eye. The focus seems slightly off, if you were going for a soft focus, I'm not quite feeling that. This started at a 6 but am bumping to a 7 ;)

Oh, how sweet! Such a wonderful, old wise face this lovely creature has! The eyes are the windows to the soul, even in our animal friends and he/her eyes tell me that they have seen a lot but will never tire of seeing more right now.

I like the DOF on this, the background works okay but the lighting and dull color really work against the overall shot. The light is a bit dull and the coloration of the coat is also flat to me. A 6 when I first came through but bumping to a 7 for this friend's loyalty. :)

Snowy had lovely eyes and looks like he/she has been having a wonderful dirt bath, LOL!

The shot is dead on for composition and such but the colors are very washed out and the eyes are his/her's greatest feature and also seem a bit washed out. Maybe a levels or curves adjustment to really bring out the colors? A 6

Very cute, very funny, made me laugh out loud, literally. I'm guessing you burned around the edges to create the vinette feeling, doesn't really work for me, I would rather have the coloration and lights. The darkened areas end up competing for my attention. For humor you would win hands down, but I'm feeling a 6 here, might be back to bump it up :)

A wonderful shot of the dog but the colors on his face seem a bit washed out and the back ground sky is really fighting for my attention. Maybe a levels or curves adjustment might help with that. Also a tighter crop, leaving out the collar and tags so you can really concentrate on those souful eyes, so dramatic! A 6

Ooooooooh, he's so cute! I once sewed a dog that looked just like him for a Christmas present for my boss's daughter oh so many years ago! Thanks for the memories!

As for the shot, nice composition, good angle but the background doesn't really compliment the dog to me and the light on the end of the nose is distracting, natural light I presume? And black animals are so difficult to shoot , trying to get all the details without washing out the color. Was at a 6 first pass around but will bump to a 7 for memorie's sake and to make Mac, happy. If you ask nice I'll show you the Mac at the barn at Gale's, he's a real cutie too :)

Yes, that is way over there on the left hand side. I had to go looking for him/her. Technically this is a fantastic, wonderful, well done shot. And having the pig in the shot helps it meet the challenge but it's stretching it to me since it was, to me, be focused on the animal, not the living conditions or other family members. Any other challenge, this would garner an 8 or 8 from me (the leaves in the upper left corner are just a bit distracting) but for this challenge 7

Okay, you get an A for being the only Pet Rock in the group! And what a pretty pet rock you are, all pink and shiney! I bet you're the best pet rock there is too, easy to feed, easy to clean up after, never noisy or demanding attention! The best pet by far!

This is a great shot, the composition, the lighting is really good but seems to be just a tad, a very small tad dull, we are talking hairs here. I had this at a 6 but will bump to a 7 just because this is a very brave rock to be among all these vicious animals! :)

This is one beautiful cat! I love the expressive eyes and the detail on the fur and eyes. The only things that bother me is the ear being cut off completely on the right, not sure why but it seems off balance as result with the rest of the shot. I had this at a 6 in my first 5 second pass (I notice things like the ear on those passes) but would like to bump it to an 8 if you don't mind. You don't? Fantastic! An 8 then! ;)
